Joanne Lee R.D.
Joanne Lee graduated from the University of Western Ontario with an honor degree in Bachelor of Science (Food and Nutrition). She underwent further training in England, and obtained her license as a registered dietitian (RD) in 1995 by completing the post-graduate diploma with an internship in Nutrition and Dietetics. She was then selected to be a member of the dietetic team at the University of Hong Kong teaching hospital (Queen Mary Hospital), specializing in pediatric, cancer, as well as chronic kidney diseases.
She returned to Canada and obtained her Canadian RD qualification in 2006. Besides providing private dietetic consultation, she is also a part-time practicing dietitian at a long-term care facility.
Joanne believes that a full dietetic consultation is key to success in promoting healthy eating habits. She will provide individualized nutritional counseling with a reachable goal for all of her patients. A healthy diet with the patient’s preferences, eating habits, health conditions, and ethnic background will be taken into account. With Joanne’s step-by-step guidance, a healthier lifestyle can be achieved, aiming to delay the onset of and improve patients’ conditions in chronic illnesses such as high blood pressure, elevated cholesterol, diabetes, and obesity.
